INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Brown the Turkey:

    • Heat the EVOO in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

    • Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned.

    • Sprinkle 1.5-2 tablespoons of Oden's Kitchen Kickin' Tacos seasoning over the browned turkey and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute, allowing the spices to bloom.

  2. Sauté the Vegetables:

    • In a separate pot, cook the chopped onion and diced green bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

    • Add the sliced zucchini, and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of the Oden's Kitchen Kickin' Tacos seasoning over the vegetables, stir to combine, and cook for an additional 3 minutes.

  3. Add the Liquids and Tomatoes:

    • Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, salsa, crushed tomatoes, and chopped green chile peppers into the ground turkey.

    • Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low.

  4. Add the Vegetables.

    • Add the sauteed onions, green bell peppers and zucchini into the ground beef mixture.

  5. Simmer:

    • Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, or up to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld and the chili to thicken.

  6. Serve:

    • Ladle the chili into bowls.

    • Garnish with chopped green onions, a dollop of sour cream, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
